Faculty of Education and Human Development
The Department of Education Policy and Leadership (EPL) is seeking outstanding applicants for fractional appointment as Lecturer I, to support core Education Studies, Putonghua‑medium postgraduate provision, and professional development programmes for in-service teachers.
Applicants with expertise in one or more of the following areas are welcome to apply:
· Philosophical, social-cultural and ethical foundations of education;
· Teacher leadership and professionalism; school leadership and management;
· Education policy and management;
· Field experience supervision; and
· Professional development programmes for in-service teachers
The appointee will engage in teaching, administrative duties, and other services. They will be required to teach programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, provide academic guidance to students, contribute to course coordination and course management, support curriculum and programme development, undertake field experience supervision and/or professional development programme work as appropriate, build networks with schools and partner institutions where needed, and perform any other teaching, supervision and administrative duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
Applicants should have a doctoral degree in a relevant discipline with substantial post-qualification teaching experience in a tertiary education setting. Preference will be given to those possessing qualified teacher status and/or relevant professional qualifications, with strong understanding of the educational context of Hong Kong and/or the Greater Bay Area. Applicants should be fluent in English; knowledge of Cantonese and/or Putonghua will be an advantage.
