Recreation Worker 3

Location: Ranches Tennis Courts
Schedule: Part-time / Seasonal (flexible hours, mornings during the summer and evenings during the fall and spring)

Position Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Assistant Tennis Instructor to support our tennis programs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with athletes of all ages, has a passion for tennis, and is eager to help players develop their skills in a fun and positive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the head instructor in planning and leading tennis lessons.
• Teach and demonstrate fundamental tennis skills, including strokes, footwork, and rules
• Provide individualized feedback and encouragement to players
• Help organize and set up courts, drills, and equipment before and after sessions
• Adapt instruction to meet the needs of various age groups and skill levels
• Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and a positive learning atmosphere
• Supervise participants to ensure safety and adherence to program guidelines
• Assist with match play and scrimmages.
• Track attendance and communicate effectively with staff, players, and parents
• Maintain and organize equipment and assist with general facility upkeep

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of tennis techniques and rules
• Previous playing or coaching experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with children, teens, and adults
• Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
• CPR/First Aid certification (preferred but not required)
