Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automated Warehouse Maintenance Team Coordinator to support the operation and reliability of a highly automated warehouse environment. This role is responsible for leading and coordinating maintenance activities, including preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance, to ensure equipment performance, safety, and operational efficiency.
The Automated Warehouse Maintenance Team Coordinator will work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, minimize downtime, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This position also supports the development of maintenance technicians, ensures adherence to safety and quality standards, and serves as a key point of contact for equipment performance and reliability.
Starting Pay Rate: $36.85/hour (paid weekly)
Shift Differential: 10% for night shift
Schedule: Rotating 2-2-3 shift pattern (day and night shifts)
Key Responsibilities
Lead the maintenance team to ensure LEGO warehouse equipment is maintained in optimal condition to support safe, efficient operations and product quality
Execute and support corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance activities
Adjust and optimize equipment settings and parameters (machinery, sensors, etc.)
Identify, replace, and manage spare parts based on wear, performance, and operational needs
Support installation and configuration of new equipment within the facility
Serve as a liaison with external vendors and suppliers to troubleshoot and resolve critical equipment issues
Conduct root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement in equipment reliability and processes
Support technician development by ensuring required skills are met and maintaining the skills matrix
Collaborate with warehouse teams to coordinate planned downtime and response to equipment failures
Additional Duties & Tasks
Follow all applicable safety, environmental, and quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHS standards)
Recommend improvements to preventive maintenance procedures and checklists
Monitor and report spare parts inventory needs
Support and track training completion and employee development in coordination with trainers
Perform process confirmations and audits
Report downtime and key issues during shifts to support continuous improvement efforts
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma)
Attend and contribute to daily shift meetings and weekly department meetings
Update and track maintenance KPIs and huddle board metrics
Assist in creating and updating maintenance documentation and standard operating procedures
Contribute to engineering and maintenance improvement projects
Support identification and procurement of critical spare parts
Perform condition monitoring activities (e.g., thermography, vibration analysis) as required
Maintain compliance with 5S standards, safety programs, and maintenance best practices
Participate in safety initiatives, audits, and continuous improvement boards
Communicate effectively across shifts to ensure proper handoff of information, issues, and learnings
Escalate critical issues to leadership when necessary and follow appropriate decision-making protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role
- Demonstrated experience leading teams or supervising others
- Advanced knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance in an automated warehouse or similar environment
- Ability to work at heights ranging from 8 to 40 meters, including participation in height rescue procedures if necessary
- CPR and First Aid certification required (must be obtained upon hire or within a specified timeframe)
- Hands-on experience with repair and maintenance of industrial equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
- Working knowledge of PLC systems with ability to perform basic tasks (Allen Bradley and Siemens preferred)
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and maintenance-related software tools
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of and adherence to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and safety certifications
- Willingness to travel internationally for training as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical degree in electromechanics, mechanics, electronics, or a related field
- Experience working in an automated materials handling or warehouse environment
