Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The IT Business partner based in Budapest MOL Campus develops strong partnership with Business Managers, Digital Leads, Subject Matter Experts and other Business Stakeholders by becoming a trusted consultant on issues of digital transformation, process automation, and on the optimal use of the IT services portfolio to drive bottom line value. 

Act as a bridge between IT department and the Business, understanding their needs, and ensuring that solutions and technologies support and contribute to the Business strategy and the Business organization’s broader goals.

Establish joint Business IT Roadmap and develop IT strategy concerning her/his Business domain by translating the Business strategy objectives to IT. 

Work closely with Enterprise/Domain/Solution Architects to select and realize fit for purpose IT solutions. Ensure continuity and optimization of key process areas of the Business domain, the quality of the project deliverables, guidance to project level initiatives and executive decision making.

Main responsibilities:

  • Provide overall client management to the relevant domain Business Stakeholders

  • Develop strong relationships with Business Managers, Digital Leads, Subject Matter Experts, Product Owners and other Business Stakeholders.

  • Act as the single point of contact for the Business for all IT project demands and manage response to the demand within the broader IT organization.

  • Promote IT’s vision, values, services and capabilities. Advocate on behalf of Business Stakeholders to ensure IT services meet their Business priorities and needs.

  • Facilitate effective utilization, standardization and improvement of IT Services for domain:

  • Capture and push to resolution high priority IT related Business escalations and issues.

  • Identify, engage and manage relationship with the super user community in the Business domain.

  • Facilitate IT Service Reviews within the relevant Business domain, and support IT Delivery and Operation organizations to continuously improve services.

  • Support the joint Business IT Roadmap defining process and create proposals IT strategies for the domain:

  • Assess Business strategy, analyse existing Business processes, capture key use cases, and build large-scale process landscapes of the domain. Model and refine Business processes to make them ready for automation. Maintain a map of IT systems used to facilitate Business processes.

  • Drive effective mapping of Business domain relevant data to IT systems.

  • In partnership with Business and IT, develop and maintain the IT opportunity funnel for Business domain.

  • Follow the international technological and Business trends for the domain and investigate the implementation possibility in MOL Group.

  • Develop Business cases and oversee technical writing of project proposals, in cooperation with Business and IT:

  • Capture new Business requirements into the Business process implementation, facilitate demand planning as focal point for cross communication with Business owners for the processes under their charge.

  • Coordinate Business initiatives, support Business Prioritisation and provide project quality assurance.

  • Ensure that IT solutions align with the Product strategy, contribute to Product developments goals, and enhance overall value delivered to Business

  • Work with IT architects to develop solution options during pre-project scoping, with a focus to reuse or adapt existing services.

  • Support the necessary planning and implementation processes (annual CAPEX/OPEX plan) and monitor resource planning, forecasting, individual project proposals, procurement plans, and project execution – facilitate delivery for accepted demands.

  • Coordinate annual CAPEX planning for the relevant domain portfolio and track delivery against that plan.

  • Support IT Project Team in identifying the IT contractors relevant for the Business domain on MOL Group level.

  • Participate in Group level procurement procedures and contribute to supplier selections as a claimer organisation.

Main requirements:

  • University or College degree 

  • 5+ years professional experience, 2+ years in in a similar position involving Business partnering, Business analysis and process management

  • Experiences in international, multinational environment and/or in the relevant Business domain

  • Experience in the E&P IT area is an advantage

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Proactive mindset, positive attitude, and strong ownership mentality

  • Openness to diverse cultures and working in a multinational environment

  • Passion for continuous learning and professional growth

  • Driver license
