Position Overview
The Billing Specialist – Clinic ensures timely and accurate reporting, invoicing, and collection of payments from clients and contracted locations. This role supports efficient billing and claims processing through collaboration with off-site billing agencies and internal teams.
What You’ll Do

Prepare, review, and submit insurance claims (electronic and paper)

Ensure accurate coding and payer-specific compliance

Track claim status, follow up on denials, and manage appeals

Post and reconcile insurance and patient payments

Generate and send client statements

Address billing inquiries and assist with payment plans
-
Maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA standards

Use Excel and billing software to manage and report data

Perform other duties as assigned to support the billing team
What We’re Looking For
-
2+ years of experience in medical billing or insurance claims processing
-
Familiarity with CPT/HCPCS and ICD-10 coding
-
Strong understanding of EOBs, ERAs, and denial management
-
Proficiency with billing software and EHR systems
-
Skilled in Microsoft Excel (formulas, filters, and pivot tables preferred)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving
-
High School Diploma required; Associate degree or billing certification preferred
