Role:
Assist the SR Commercial Lending Relationship Manager, Business Banking Relationship Officers and Commercial Lending Relationship Officers in their efforts to profitably grow relationships. Maintain a high level of sales and service at all times. Responsible for the growth of the loan portfolio by development of current and new consumer and business relationships.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  1. Assist SR Commercial Lending Relationship Manager, Commercial Lending Relationship Officers and the Business Banking Relationship Officers with new and existing loans which includes, but not limited to preparing maturity letters, satisfying loan conditions, input loan requests and renewals into Bizmark, handling draw requests, accept loan payments, and any correspondence letter to the customers.
  2. Complete daily workflow in and out of the area to ensure that current loans are in complete conformity with terms and minimum exceptions exist.
  3. Provide outstanding sales and service while assisting customers with opening and closing deposit and loan accounts, answer questions about products and services, completes necessary account research and resolves problems that are within their authority to resolve. Refer problems that are beyond their authority to the next level, along with their recommendations. Identify cross-sell opportunities and cross-sell sales and services to customers.
  4. Complete outbound sales calls and handles customer inquires appropriately on all loan and deposit transactions as requested by customers. Meet scorecard objectives.
  5. Perform other job related duties as assigned to ensure a continuous workflow.

Performance Measurements:
1. Takes the initiative to analyze situations and take the proper channels to resolve the problem.
2. Proficient in areas of sales and service to include: structuring complicated commercial loans.
3. To meet sales goals with special emphasis in commercial lending. Includes all goals as outlined in the Retail Sales Manual.
4. Prepares loan documents, and reports, within the appropriate deadline.
5. Take proper steps to ensure completed loan files are sent to the Loan department.
6. Proficient in computer skills necessary for word, excel and various bank software.
7. To maintain a professional work environment and businesslike appearance at all times.
8. Must have strong written and oral communication skills to communicate with customers and bank personnel at all levels.
9. Function as a team member and contribute to department goals/scorecards.
10. Maintain appropriate attendance and punctuality.
11. To complete all assigned training within the allotted time frame.
12. To comply with all state and federal regulations that are applicable to their specific job duties.
13. To provide friendly, professional and accurate service and support to all customers and employees.
14. Each position within the Company shares in the cross-selling of the Company's products and services.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education: A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business.

Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Other Skills: Interacts with various departments and customers and must possess strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and computer skills. Position requires diplomacy, tact and an orientation to detail. Some banking knowledge and experience will benefit successful job accomplishment.
Excellent organizational skills and able to meet deadlines.
Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve taking initiative to problem solve and motivate or influence others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.

Physical Requirements: The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. Must able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
