Senior Supervisor: UG Geologist

Qualifications and experience.

 

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Geology or a related scientific discipline
• Have a minimum of five (5) years' professional experience in underground mining geology
• Have proven experience in supervising geological teams in a mining environment
• Possess a good knowledge of underground mining operations and grade control activities
• Experience in copper and cobalt mining operations is a strong asset
• Experience in the analysis and interpretation of geological and production data
• Be able to operate in a demanding and pressurized underground environment

 

Technical skills

 

• Master underground geological mapping and content control techniques
• Have a good knowledge of the processes of dilution, ore losses and geological reconciliation
• Proficiency in geological software such as Datamine, Leapfrog or similar software
• Have a good command of Microsoft Excel and data management tools
• Ability to analyze and interpret geological and operational data
• Have good technical and operational report writing skills
• Possess a good understanding of the HSE standards applicable to underground mining operations
• Be able to identify operational deviations and propose appropriate corrective solutions
