Develop subassemblies and components for wet processing technologies.
Provide mechanical engineering expertise, while focusing on design quality, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
Design for safety, manufacturability, and serviceability.
Define mechanical design based on customer specifications and requirements.
Ensure that manufacturing processes are compliant with standard design practices and safety codes.
Ensure appropriate prototyping and functional testing is performed on designs to ensure reliable products can be produced in a repeatable manner.
Perform analytical studies and theoretical calculations using a variety of engineering knowledge, including analysis of vessels, heat transfer, material structural analysis, static and dynamic, fluids, and motion mechanisms.
Prepare presentations and present design concepts, ideas, and test results to internal and external customers.
Provide expertise in mechanical engineering while participating in design reviews.
Support procurement efforts in correlation with overall project deadlines.
Provide “hands-on” assistance and support to the manufacturing team.
Create and release engineering documentation through the ECO process.
Support Program Management with execution of projects through the Veeco Product Life Cycle (PLC).
Understand and adhere to various industry standards, including SEMI S2.
