About the Role

We are seeking a Study Engineer to join our Sustaining Capital team at Cadia. In this role, you will lead and support the development of feasibility studies for site-led capital projects, guiding concepts through to feasibility and preparing projects for successful execution.

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering inputs across operational teams, stakeholders and consultants
  • Develop high-quality study deliverables to support governance and investment decisions

  • Manage engineering consultants and specialist providers to deliver on package scope, quality, schedule and budget
  • Develop study plans, schedules, budgets and resource requirements
  • Identify and manage risks across technical, operational and delivery aspects
  • Ensure solutions consider constructability, maintainability and operational integration
  • Support smooth handover to execution teams with well-defined project scopes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of study processes and systems

About You

You bring a strong understanding of engineering study and project lifecycle processes, with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary inputs, manage and derisk inherent ambiguity through study stages, and deliver practical solutions. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with experience reviewing technical documentation and navigating project risk and stage-gate frameworks.

A confident communicator, you build effective stakeholder relationships across technical and operational teams. Proactive, organised and outcomes-focused, you demonstrate a curious mindset and a drive for continuous improvement. You thrive in fast-paced environments, maintaining adaptability, resilience and a high attention to detail, and work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams.

You will also bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Process or similar)
  • Experience in mining, minerals processing, heavy industry or infrastructure
  • Exposure to engineering studies, project engineering or capital project delivery
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and operational stakeholders
