Position: Instructional Coach and Academic Support Specialist (this position will be grant funded through the WVDE.)

Employment Term: 2026-2027, 200 day.
Certification Required: Elementary Education K-6
Preferred, but not required: Experience with teaching Mathematics / Science of Reading Trained (or in progress) through LETRS by Lexia.
Reports to: Director of Curriculum and Instruction / Personnel 
The Instructional Coach focuses on supporting and improving instruction across the school through coaching, professional development, and data-driven facilitation. Responsibilities include working directly with teachers and students, modeling effective instructional strategies, analyzing student achievement data, leading professional learning efforts, supporting curriculum implementation, and ensuring compliance with West Virginia educational policies and standards. The role also involves collaborating with school and district leadership to strengthen instructional practices, improve student outcomes, and support overall school improvement initiatives.

Note: this posiition is a support position and not administrative (the person will not evaluate staff.)
Salary, Based on FY 25: $47,007-75,903 (depending on years of experience/ degree level, etc.)

Additional Requirement: A successful interview with all questions and tasks measured for satisfactory completion by the interview committee.
