ANNOUNCEMENT OF SUMMER SCHOOL VACANCY

POSITION: Itinerant Special Education Teacher, K-12

Will also provide ESY Services

(Teacher hired contingent upon number of students enrolling in the summer program)

LOCATION: Robert Bland Middle School & Peterson Central Elementary School

REPORTS TO: Building Administrator, County Supervisor &/or Superintendent

CERTIFICATION: Valid WV Teaching Certificate – Special Education Multi-categorical with 

autism, K-12 preferred or will consider valid certified substitute teacher

SALARY: $250.00 per day

(The legal holidays of June 20, 2026 and July 4, 2026 are specifically excluded from the term of this contract and will not be compensated, which will observed on June 19, 2026 & July 3, 2026)

TERM: AS NEEDED

June 12, 2026 – July 13, 2026

DUTIES: 1. Plans and uses appropriate instructional strategies, activities, materials, and 

equipment that reflects understanding of the learning styles and needs of assigned students

2. Maintain positive communication with parents on at least a weekly basis

3. Continuously evaluate the progress of students

4. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisors
