About the job
We are looking for a Social Media Video Producer to support communication activities within a major European Institution.
In this role, you will create engaging video content that transforms complex legislative and policy topics into clear and compelling stories for platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
You will be involved in the full production cycle — from identifying relevant topics and pitching ideas to scripting, shooting, editing, and optimising content for social media.
Responsibilities
- Produce and edit video content for social media (short-form: Shorts, Reels, TikTok; long-form: YouTube)
- Handle filming when required (camera, lighting, sound)
- Develop creative concepts, scripts, and storyboards aligned with institutional communication
- Optimise content for performance based on platform best practices
- Monitor social media trends and apply innovative storytelling formats
- Follow European policy and legislative topics to identify relevant content opportunities
- Translate complex information into accessible and engaging video formats
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners
- Manage content planning and multimedia assets
- Source visual materials (B-roll, archives, image libraries)
- Support multilingual adaptation of content when needed
Your Profile
- Experience in video production and editing (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci, CapCut, etc.)
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and formats (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram)
- Up-to-date with digital trends and storytelling techniques
- Ability to simplify complex topics into engaging content
- Interest in European affairs is a strong asset
- Experience in motion graphics/animation is a plus
- Creative, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Organised, reliable, and able to meet deadlines and a strong team player
