D evelopment Security Operations ( DevSecOps ) Engineer SNSW Grade 9/1 0 - $130,705 - $157,430 per annum + super Ongoing Full-Time Location: McKell As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering a range of innovative initiatives that centre around automating cyber security and enabling developers to understand potential issues in their systems at an earlier stage. These solutions could involve automating existing tools like issue management, vulnerability scanners and may incorporate proof of concept work utilising artificial intelligence. C ore skills required are an understanding of containers, scripting languages like Java S cript Python, bash , git , and understanding of CI/CD pipelines , as well as a passion for security. Responsibilities include actively contributing to and guiding innovation in DevSecOps practices and incorporate agile delivery approaches and technologies, carrying out and delivering efficient/repeatable platform engineering and application maintenance tasks, assisting in changes to software engineering and operations with the adoption of new technologies, delivering technical consulting and subject matter expertise to projects, including pre-project to ensure risks, interdependencies and exceptions are identified, mitigated or escalated. Support office roles will be headquartered across McKell, Parramatta and Gosford. We will consider role headquarters outside of the above locations where the role can reasonably be performed from that location taking into consideration the operational, financial and customer requirements of the role, and an ability to attend a NSW Government workplace as required .
