Assistant Coach, Women's Soccer (Athletics)

Job Description

Assist head coach with facilitating the academic and athletic development of every soccer student-athlete. Assist in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes within the guidelines of the Big 12 Conference and the NCAA. Train non-travel team when not on travel status. Implement individual development plans (IDP’s). Coaching student-athletes at all practices and games. Running split training sessions at home. Work cooperatively and provide positive energy as a member of the staff. Recruit qualified student-athletes. Coordinate and advance recruiting, alumni, and community relations. Perform video analysis and opponent scouting. Work closely with the compliance office to assure the program follows University, Big 12 Conference and NCAA regulations. Budget accountability. Additional duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Commitment to academic and athletic success. Strong leadership, organizational and administrative skills. Sound written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work nights and weekends as necessary. Possess a working knowledge of Big 12 and University of Arizona rules. Ability to problem solve and make decisions. Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions. Dedication and motivation to initiate, lead and support value-added projects. Meticulous attention to detail. Foster a collaborative work environment through respectful and effective communication. Demonstrated organizational skills, including the ability to plan, establish priorities and successfully manage multiple priority projects. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive interpersonal relations. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels, and project a positive, professional attitude.
