Drafting Technician

Qualifications Technical education or equivalent experience in technical drafting. Proficiency in CAD software and engineering documentation. Solid understanding of mechanical development methods. Ability to work independently and analyze non-routine problems. Experience in training and supporting employees to improve skill levels, with a future role as mentor within the organization. Responsibilities Support and take ownership of activities within the Mechanical Engineering Change (MEC) process Translate engineering requirements into optimized design solutions in close collaboration with responsible engineers, using CAD/CAM/CAE tools Create, update, and maintain 2D and 3D engineering drawings in compliance with applicable standards Prepare and manage bills of materials (BOMs) and internal production documentation Apply core mechanical design principles (e.g., 3D modeling, tolerance stack-up) to support product development and continuous improvement
