Job Summary
Holy Spirit Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and faith-filled educator to serve as an English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The teacher will foster a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking while supporting the spiritual, academic, and personal growth of students within a Catholic school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engaging, standards-based instruction in English Language Arts, including reading, writing, grammar, and literature.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that promote critical thinking, comprehension, and effective communication skills.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic needs of students.
- Assess student progress regularly and communicate effectively with parents and administration.
- Integrate technology and a variety of instructional strategies to enhance learning.
- Collaborate with grade-level and subject-area team members to support curriculum alignment and student success.
- Maintain classroom discipline consistent with school policies and expectations.
- Support and participate in school Masses, prayer, and Catholic identity initiatives.
- Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification (elementary or middle school ELA preferred).
- Strong background in English Language Arts instruction.
- Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
