Custodian - Seasonal

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Summer Seasonal Custodian to assist with preparing our school campus for the upcoming academic year. Responsibilities include deep cleaning classrooms and common areas, moving and arranging classroom furniture, assisting with minor setup projects, and helping maintain school grounds and outdoor areas. This temporary summer position is ideal for someone who takes pride in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and families returning in August. Position is Monday thru Friday from 8-4pm during the summer months.

Job Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain parish and school facilities after scheduled events

• Sweep and mop floors in classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas

• Clean and sanitize restrooms

• Clean glass doors, windows, and other surfaces as needed

• Dust furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces

• Empty trash and replace liners

• Ensure facilities are returned to a clean and orderly condition after use

• Assist with snow removal across parish and school grounds as needed, including walkways and entrances

• Report maintenance or safety concerns to appropriate parish or school personnel

Job Requirements

• Ability to work evenings and/or weekends on an as-needed basis

• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning equipment

• Willingness and ability to assist with snow removal as needed

• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness

• Ability to work independently and follow instructions

• Dependable, punctual, and respectful of parish property
