Job Summary
The Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality instruction in a faith-based learning environment that supports the academic, spiritual, moral, and social development of students. The teacher integrates Catholic values and teachings into daily instruction while fostering a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver effective instruction aligned with curriculum standards and school goals
- Create a positive classroom environment that promotes learning, respect, and Christian values
- Integrate Catholic teachings, traditions, and moral values into classroom activities and interactions
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, projects, and observations
- Maintain accurate attendance, grade, and student records
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and behavior
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students
- Maintain classroom discipline consistent with school policies and Catholic principles
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, school liturgies, retreats, and special events
- Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and support staff
- Supervise students during assigned duties and extracurricular activities as required
- Support and uphold the mission and philosophy of Catholic education
Job Requirements
- Valid state teaching certification/license appropriate to grade level or subject area
- Practicing Catholic preferred (if required by diocesan policy for religion instruction)
- Knowledge of curriculum development and instructional best practices
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to integrate faith and learning effectively
- Successful completion of background check and Safe Environment training
