At eBay, we're more than a global ecommerce leader — we’re changing the way the world shops and sells. Our platform empowers millions of buyers and sellers in more than 190 markets around the world. We’re committed to pushing boundaries and leaving our mark as we reinvent the future of ecommerce for enthusiasts.

Our customers are our compass, authenticity thrives, bold ideas are welcome, and everyone can bring their unique selves to work — every day. We're in this together, sustaining the future of our customers, our company, and our planet.

Join a team of passionate thinkers, innovators, and dreamers — and help us connect people and build communities to create economic opportunity for all.

About the Opportunity:

eBay is a global commerce leader that connects millions of buyers and sellers around the world. We are looking for an intellectually curious, business-savvy, and analytical leader with a deep understanding of marketing efficiency to join us as the Senior Manager, Marketing Efficiency. This key position makes you the main source on "what worked and why." You will analyze beyond simple data to uncover deep, causal insights about how marketing spending impacts brand strength and business development.

Based in Toronto and reporting to the Head of Marketing Efficiency, you will transform how eBay assesses marketing performance within a privacy-first, technology-supported framework. You will also assist in moving from retrospective reporting to predictive and advisory decision tools for our largest markets worldwide.

About the Team:

The Market Insights team drives eBay’s global leadership. We transform consumer signals into clear roadmaps, not just data reports. Our researchers and analysts believe rigorous measurement builds great marketing. We work in a fast-paced global matrix. We partner closely with Media, Finance, and Brand teams to ensure every campaign supports a unified global story and a healthy marketplace.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end measurement and analysis for all major global campaigns, providing a definitive assessment of performance against brand benchmarks and business goals across our global markets.

  • Partner with the team to contribute to the global brand and reputation tracking program. Integrate findings from paid, earned, and owned channels to provide a complete view of eBay’s market position and sentiment.

  • Embed measurement into campaign planning and optimization, not just post-launch evaluation.

  • Partner with Data Science, Media, and Finance teams to support broader findings from Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) and Multi-Touch Attribution (MTA), ensuring post-launch insights inform future budget allocations.

  • Establish and maintain a unified benchmark hierarchy and measurement "playbook" that ensures consistent reporting and accountability across regional marketing teams.

  • Reimagine insight generation using AI to move from workflows led by analysts to scalable, always-on intelligence systems.

  • Synthesize complex performance data into compelling, executive-ready narratives that go beyond "what happened" to explain the "so what" and "what’s next" for senior leadership.

  • Lead the development of automated, self-service reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) to provide collaborators with real-time insight into campaign efficiency and brand health.

  • Act as the primary lead for external measurement partners and research agencies, ensuring they deliver high-quality, actionable insights that meet eBay’s rigorous analytical standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in Marketing Efficiency, Brand Insights, or Marketing Analytics, with a strong focus on post-launch measurement and brand health tracking.

  • Deep proficiency in marketing measurement methodologies, including incrementality testing, causal inference, and interpreting Econometric/MMM outputs.

  • Outstanding communication skills with a "consultative" approach, capable of influencing VP-level collaborators and driving consensus in a matrixed global environment.

  • Proven track record of managing campaign measurement across diverse international markets and challenging established methodologies and driving adoption of new ones.

  • A master at "connecting the dots" between brand sentiment data and hard commercial outcomes to build persuasive arguments.

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative or business field (Economics, Statistics, Marketing Science, or similar).

  • A resilient "can-do" attitude with the ability to navigate ambiguity and manage fast-paced delivery timelines without sacrificing attention to detail.
