About the team and the role:
The Event Specialist on the Brand Marketing team will support the planning and execution of eBay’s presence across consumer events, industry trade shows, and sponsored experiences for key categories and enthusiast communities. This role will primarily support eBay Live’s event presence, with opportunities to contribute across additional focus areas as needed.
This role requires a highly organized, adaptable self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments and can navigate ambiguity. You will collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively with stakeholders to bring events to life from concept through execution.
You will report to the Head of US Events and work closely to support the eBay Live Event Manager, partnering with teams across Business Units, Brand Marketing, Communications, Business Development, Security, Customer Service, and more.
What you will accomplish:
Support end-to-end planning and execution of eBay’s presence at consumer events and trade shows, including creative development, logistics, on-site activation, and post-event wrap-up
Own and manage the Events team swag and product process ensuring there is always enough merchandise on-hand
Coordinate and optimize event activation plans using insights and performance data from past events
Partner cross-functionally (Brand, Marketing, Product, PR) to ensure cohesive, consistent, and effective event messaging
Manage booth development processes, including design, graphics, and production, ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders
Develop scalable processes and efficiencies to support execution of smaller-tier events across multiple markets
Support post-event analysis, reporting, and measurement to inform future strategy
Assist with on-site event operations (approximately 30–40% travel required)
What you will bring:
2–5 years of experience in event marketing, experiential marketing, or related field
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events and timelines simultaneously
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across cross-functional teams
Experience working with vendors, agencies, and production partners
Ability to operate independently in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
Willingness to travel (30–40%) and support on-site event execution
Additional Details
The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
$61,600 - $103,600Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
