How you’ll make an impact in this role
- Develop and implement quality and patient safety systems, policies, and data collection procedures.
- Lead and advise on quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, including training for leaders, staff, and physicians.
- Investigate root causes and analyze trends in serious adverse events and near misses; implement corrective action.
- Manage regulatory reporting of adverse events and coordinate with legal counsel on claims defense.
- Advance organizational knowledge of best practices in quality and safety through research and regulatory awareness.
What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Quality Professional preferred.
- Risk Management preferred.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.
What additional preferences we're seeking
- Master's degree; CPHQ and CPPS certifications are a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years acute care experience, including at least 2 years in quality/patient safety and 3 years in management/leadership.
- Must be a confident leader who can present complex quality data to executive leadership.
