OUR MISSION

The Family Place empowers survivors of family violence by providing safe housing, counseling, and skills that create independence while building community engagement and advocating for social change to stop family violence.

Position Summary:

In this position as Marketing Manager, you will serve as a creative force driving The Family Place's brand presence and communications strategy, developing compelling content across digital and print platforms that elevates awareness of our mission and inspires action. 

You'll create and implement marketing and communications campaigns that effectively promote the agency's life-saving work and fundraising goals, managing everything from social media strategy and email campaigns to website content, event materials, and direct mail pieces. Working closely with the Director of Marketing, you'll design advertising materials, develop collateral for special events, launch targeted email marketing campaigns, and execute social media strategies that engage audiences with timely, relevant content. You'll manage The Family Place and Partners Card websites to ensure relevant, up-to-date content while maintaining backend CMS operations, develop brand marketing initiatives for individual services that adhere to agency standards, and analyze metrics to optimize communications effectiveness across all channels.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy & Campaign Development

  • In collaboration with the Director of Marketing, develop advertising and marketing communications strategies and materials including direct mail, graphics, brochures, logos, and other assets.
  • Create, implement, and oversee marketing and communication campaigns that effectively describe and promote the agency's mission and fundraising goals, both internally and externally.
  • Develop, implement, and execute brand marketing initiatives for individual services within the agency that adhere to agency standards.

Digital Marketing & Website Management

  • Manage the agency's website to provide relevant and timely content; manage the maintenance of website design and operations and the implementation of backend CMS updates for The Family Place and Partners Card websites.
  • Design and launch unique email marketing campaigns to targeted donor audiences.
  • Define, design, and execute social media strategies by providing relevant content, tracking metrics, and monitoring current events to create timely and relevant responses.

Content Creation & Event Support

  • Create and develop collateral and content for all special events, including themes, logos, invitations, and programs.
  • Support all PR-related initiatives, including research, fact-checking, and assisting with planning of content.
  • Copyedit, proofread, and revise communications when necessary.

Analytics & Project Management

  • Analyze and provide metrics on external communication efforts to provide efficient use of TFP's resources (web, email, social media).
  • Create and maintain cross-channel marketing, content, and communications calendar.
  • Coordinate scheduling and logistics for assigned tasks.

Other Duties: Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field. 
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, or event coordination. 
  • Strong graphic design skills with experience creating both digital and print materials. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
  • Database experience required; Raiser's Edge NXT preferred. 

Licenses and Certifications:

Valid Texas Driver’s License and a clear driving record.

  • Strong graphic design and visual communication skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Excellent organizational and administrative abilities. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments. 
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. 
  • Excellent copywriting and content creation abilities.
  • Website management and CMS proficiency.
  • Social media management and content scheduling.
  • Email marketing campaign development and execution.


Mental and Physical Duties:

  • Duties are usually performed seated with occasional periods of standing, walking, and with occasional need for driving to pick up or deliver items.
  • Limited physical effort is required associated with lifting and carrying objects (less than 25 lbs). 
  • Ability to tolerate ambiguity and work under pressure to meet deadlines. 
  • Ability to drive your personal vehicle or company vehicle to visit sites or perform other duties for the position. 

Working Conditions:
Work may be performed, but is not limited to an office environment. Ability to work some weekends and evening hours for special projects.

 

Essential Personnel Designation: Non-Essential

Non-essential employees will follow Dallas Independent School District (DISD) closure/delay decisions and are expected to work remotely or use PTO during inclement weather. Refer to The Family Place Inclement Weather Policy for complete details.
