Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Project - Civil Engineer only to join our award winning team in Riyadh, Saudi.

 

Working on behalf of a leading global construction consultancy, the successful candidate will support the delivery of major infrastructure, mixed-use, commercial, and development projects, ensuring that civil engineering works are executed in accordance with project requirements, quality standards, contractual obligations, and client expectations.

 

The Project Civil Engineer will act as a key technical representative on-site, coordinating with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to monitor construction activities, resolve technical issues, and drive project delivery excellence.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Site Supervision

  • Monitor and supervise civil construction works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, and applicable standards.
  • Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and technical proposals.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify construction quality and adherence to project requirements.
  • Identify construction issues and provide timely technical solutions to support project progress.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, architectural, MEP, and infrastructure disciplines.
  • Assist in monitoring project milestones and construction progress against approved programmes.

Quality Management

  • Ensure all civil works are executed in accordance with project specifications, local regulations, and international standards.
  • Review and witness inspections, testing activities, and quality assurance procedures.
  • Support the implementation of quality control processes and ensure non-conformance issues are addressed and closed out.
  • Verify completion of works prior to inspection and handover.

Contract Administration & Commercial Support

  • Review and assess contractor requests for information (RFIs), technical queries, and variation proposals.
  • Support the evaluation of progress claims and contractor performance.
  • Assist in the review of change orders and construction variations from a technical perspective.
  • Maintain accurate project records, site reports, and engineering documentation.

Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance

  • Promote and enforce project health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Monitor contractor compliance with approved HSE plans and procedures.
  • Participate in safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations as required.
  • Foster a proactive safety culture across all project activities.

Stakeholder Management

  • Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, authorities, utility providers, and project stakeholders.
  • Attend project meetings and provide technical updates on progress, risks, and key issues.
  • Support project managers in managing stakeholder expectations and achieving project objectives.

 

 

 


Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include a minimum of 8/10 years’ career experience partnered with a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

 

Previous experience working for an engineering consultancy, project management consultancy (PMC), or construction supervision consultant.
