Responsibilities

We envisage success in this role to include;

  • Prepare and review interim payment applications, final accounts, and BOQ measurements based on site progress.
  • Assist in cost control, cash flow forecasting, and budget tracking throughout construction phases.
  • Evaluate and certify variations, claims, and change orders in coordination with the Contracts Manager.
  • Conduct regular site visits to verify actual progress and update cost reports accordingly.
  • Ensure all project financial records, cost data, and reporting are accurately maintained.
  • Coordinate with design and supervision teams to ensure cost-effective construction solutions.
  • Provide input into value engineering exercises and cost-benefit analysis to optimize project costs.
  • Assist in preparation of tender documents, cost estimates, and procurement evaluations when required.
  • Interpret contract clauses and ensure compliance with FIDIC or similar contract conditions.
  • Liaise with contractors and clients to resolve commercial and contractual matters efficiently.
  • Manage multiple packages or contracts under tight project timelines while maintaining accuracy and control.
  • Support project controls functions including monitoring cost performance and identifying potential risks or deviations.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role we envision that you will bring a minimum of 10 years of experience of quantity surveying, preferably in the Gulf Region across mixed use projects.

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in infrastructure projects.
  • At least 3–5 years of GCC experience, preferably in a consultancy environment.
  • Strong experience in roads, highways, bridges, and tunnels construction and cost management.
  • Proven experience working with FIDIC contracts and Saudi government authorities (e.g., MOT, Aramco, Royal Commission).
  • Strong proficiency in quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, and cost management software.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); Arabic is an advantage.
