Human Resources Business Partner

Job Summary

As a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), you will play a strategic and hands‑on role in strengthening our hospitality‑driven culture, accelerating thoughtful decision‑making, and ensuring full ownership of HR compliance across the community.
Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), you will serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and team members, helping shape a supportive environment where exceptional service, teamwork, and resident‑centered care can thrive. You will apply your HR expertise, operational awareness, and mission‑driven mindset to enhance leadership capability, elevate the team member experience, and support our commitment to excellence in senior living.
Essential Duties:
- Partner closely with executive and community leadership to understand operational goals, accelerate decision-making, and align HR strategies with business needs.
- Serve as a strategic consultant to leaders, providing timely direction on policies, procedures, workforce planning, and people-centered decision-making.
- Own team member relations, leading investigations, conflict resolution, leader coaching, and corrective actions with fairness, clarity, and professionalism.
- Manage all leaves of absence, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth coordination with leaders and team members.
- Oversee safety‑related compliance, including workplace injuries, OSHA logs, safety reporting, and collaboration with the Safety Team on safety fairs and education.
- Lead performance management cycles, including 90‑day and annual reviews, ensuring leaders deliver meaningful performance conversations.
- Manage the annual engagement survey, including rollout, analytics, and partnership with leaders to implement action plans.
- Analyze people metrics, including turnover, engagement, and performance trends, providing actionable insights to leadership.
- Develop and implement HR initiatives that strengthen culture, enhance retention, and support a positive, hospitality‑driven work environment.
- Review and ensure timely processing of team member changes (PAFs) and partner with HR Operations to maintain data accuracy.
- Review bi‑weekly payroll registers, confirming all team member changes are correct before approval.
- Maintain full ownership of compliance monitoring, including licensure tracking, CPR certifications, MVRs, health documentation, and compliance auditing.
- Serve as benefits escalation point, providing clarity, support, and timely issue resolution.
- Monitor training compliance, communicating gaps to leaders and ensuring prompt completion.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, proactively identifying risks and guiding leaders accordingly.
- Support talent strategy, collaborating with the Senior Recruiter on hiring needs, turnover trends, and workforce planning.
- Oversee onboarding and HR transactional processes conducted by the HR Coordinators, HR Specialists, and Interns.

Human Resources Expertise: 8+ years of progressive HR generalist and HRBP experience, with demonstrated ability to apply HR best practices in complex, service‑driven settings.

Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Paycor preferred).
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Master’s degree in Human Resources or Business preferred.
- SHRM‑CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
This position is onsite.
FLSA Classification: Exempt
Salary and Benefits: This exempt role offers a competitive salary and full benefits package, including health benefits and paid time off.
