Job Description
Key responsibilities: Strategic management and further development of the air freight business in the country, with a particular focus on complex transport solutions Further development of cross-border operations and cooperation with agents, partners and customers in the country Management and line management of the air freight import and export department Ensuring a smooth workflow and high competitiveness of airfreight services provided Responsibility for the planning, coordination and implementation of complex air freight projects including out-of-gauge shipments, special loads and charter flights Management of budget planning and profitability, including process and quality optimization” Establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships and expanding partnerships with airlines and specialist service providers Monitoring relevant market trends and developing innovative logistics concepts for sensitive or oversized goods Collaboration with internal departments such as Sales/GKAM, Project Logistics and operational units Control and monitoring of financial results of airfreight hold full P L responsibility, managing revenue generation, cost control, and profitability of the assigned business unit. Further development and new business development in air freight (exports and imports) Customer support in both office and field roles (export and import) Business correspondence in German and English with deugro offices, agents and customers Reporting departmental results to branch or country manager Development, specification and monitoring of operational processes Preparation and drafting of quotations Operational processing General office duties QHSE, Compliance and Ethics REQUIREMENTS Responsibility for adhering to safe working practices and ensuring the health and safety of oneself and others in the workplace Compliance with all requirements of the deugro Group’s integrated management system Attendance at required health and safety events, training sessions risk assessments and safety briefings Reporting of incidents, unsafe acts and working conditions, as well as exercising the right to stop work if an unsafe act or working condition is present Ensuring compliance at all times with the Code of Ethics and Compliance (CoEC), all deugro Group policies and local laws Acting with honesty and integrity at all times and engaging in fair competition Maintaining a respectful and productive working environment
