Compliance Specialist - Trade Controls

Key Responsibilities: Sanctions Screening Initial Review Perform daily sanctions screening reviews across transactions, third parties, and shipments Conduct initial assessment of screening results (potential matches vs. false positives) Escalate potential hits and complex cases to the Compliance Manager – Trade Controls Ensure accurate documentation of review outcomes and audit trail Trade Controls Process Support Support the execution of Trade Controls processes across all relevant business activities Perform initial checks on transactions involving high-risk jurisdictions or counterparties Assist in implementing controls embedded in operational workflows Restricted Countries Protocol Support Apply and support protocols related to restricted or sanctioned countries Conduct preliminary assessments of transactions involving such jurisdictions Escalate higher-risk cases in line with defined procedures Support to Trade Controls Framework Assist in maintaining Trade Controls procedures, controls, and documentation Support updates to policies, guidance materials, and internal tools Contribute to consistency in application of Trade Controls requirements across regions Risk Identification Escalation Identify potential Trade Controls risks during day-to-day reviews Escalate issues, deviations, or uncertainties to the Compliance Manager Support tracking and follow-up of escalated cases Monitoring Documentation Maintain accurate and complete records of screening activities, reviews, and escalations Support compliance monitoring activities (e.g., spot checks, data reviews) Assist in preparing reports and data summaries for internal use Training Awareness Support Support delivery and administration of Trade Controls training programs Assist in onboarding and awareness activities for business teams Contribute to development of training materials where required Stakeholder Interaction Serve as a point of contact for operational teams for basic Trade Controls queries Provide guidance within defined procedures and escalate complex questions Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth process execution
