We are seeking a Specialist Engineer to join our Brownhills Depot. This crucial role involves delivering high-quality technical support and expertise to our customers and internal teams, contributing to the efficient operation and maintenance of Volvo construction equipment and other machinery.
What you’ll be doing:
Act as the primary point of contact for technical inquiries and support related to Volvo construction equipment.
Provide specialized technical knowledge and guidance, ensuring optimal machine performance and compliance with safety standards.
Conduct detailed diagnostics and troubleshooting of complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Prepare and deliver training and presentations to internal staff and customers on technical updates, systems, and best practices.
Assist in the development and implementation of new processes and tools to enhance service efficiency.
Monitor and report on equipment performance, providing timely feedback and recommendations for improvement.
Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Stay current with product developments and changes in industry standards to maintain knowledge and skills.
What you’ll bring:
A formal engineering qualification in a relevant field (e.g., mechanical, electrical, or automotive engineering).
Extensive experience in servicing and repairing heavy construction equipment, particularly Volvo products.
Strong diagnostic skills and a thorough understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems.
Proven ability to communicate effectively with customers and teams, both verbally and in writing.
Solid problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Full UK driving license is required.
Desirable: Advanced knowledge of specific Volvo systems and technologies.
Additional Skills:
IT Literacy: Proficient in using computer systems, software, and applications.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
