The Opportunity
Our high-performing Environment team continues to grow, supported by a strong pipeline of projects across health, schools, transport, contaminated land, environmental studies, dams & hydropower, and energy transition.
We are seeking an Associate Environmental Scientist / Engineer (Contaminated Land) to join our Sydney team. This role is ideal for a senior professional who enjoys mentoring junior team members while continuing to develop their own technical and project leadership capability within a global consultancy.
You’ll be supported by experienced technical and project leaders and will play a key role in delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver contaminat
- ed land assessments and prepare high-quality interpretive reports
- Undertake environmental assessments, planning, and risk assessments
- Support fieldwork, including soil, water, and air sampling across project sites
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
- Support and mentor junior team members
About You
- Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Certified Environmental Practitioner
- 12+ years’ experience in contaminated land, PFAS, and hazardous materials
- Well-developed report writing skills with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proven ability to work within multidisciplinary teams
- Strong project and time management capabilities
- Willingness to travel for short-term fieldwork assignments
- Current driver’s licence and ability to undertake field-based work
