The HKUST MBA Office is seeking a motivated and proactive professional to join our Career Services and Corporate Relations team as Officer/ Assistant Manager. The ideal candidate will be proactive and motivated, with a genuine passion for forging corporate partnerships, advancing MBA students’ career development, and excelling in a dynamic, high‑impact setting.

As a key member of the team, you will work closely with the Senior Manager to strengthen our corporate network, facilitate student job placements, and drive employer engagement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Student Career Support & Job Matching: The job holder will work as a team with other career advisors to understand each student’s career goals, background, and job search progress. Providing insights and customizing approach to support each MBA student and matching them with relevant job opportunities is an important part of the role.

  • Corporate Relations & Employer Engagement: The job holder will develop and nurture long‑term relationships with campus recruiters and employers across industries. Gain thorough understanding of the recruitment process and support corporates to promote their hiring needs to MBA students. Also partner with organization to host different recruitment events, company visits, career fairs, and networking sessions.

  • Administrative & Reporting: The job holder will handle employer enquiries by phone calls and emails; Maintaining and updating the team’s CRM with corporate contacts, job opportunities and student placement records. The job holder will also support the team in conducting data analysis and compiling reports.

  • Ad-hoc Tasks: The job holder should demonstrate flexibility and willingness to support ad-hoc projects or administrative tasks according to seasonal team needs.

Applicants should have a bachelor degree with at least 3-5 years of work experience, ideally from a Recruitment, Corporate Learning & Development or relevant background.Passion in developing long term corporate relationships and is a plus. The ideal candidate should have a proactive work attitude and demonstrate sense of ownership. Being in a team that handle a large number of stakeholders in a fast-paced environment, self-confidence, interpersonal skills and sense of urgency will be important for success. Ability to deal with ambiguous situation, willingness to find solution actively and curiosity are also essential.

A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and proficiency in Microsoft Office application are required (Word, Team, OneDrive, Sway, PowerPoint, Excel – Able to use Excel Pivot table and create statistical dashboard is a plus).

(Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
