About Parameta Solutions
Parameta Solutions is the Data & Analytics division of TP ICAP Group. The business provides clients with unbiased OTC content and proprietary data, in-depth insights across price discovery, risk management, benchmark and indices, and pre and post-trade analytics. Its post-trade solutions offering helps market participants control their counterparty and regulatory risks through a growing range of tools that manage balance-sheet exposure, as well as compression and optimisation services. The Data & Analytics division includes the following brands: Tullett Prebon Information, PVM Data Services, ICAP Information and Burton-Taylor Consulting.
Role Overview
As a Business Analyst within Parameta Solutions, you will play a key role in delivering data-driven products and analytics solutions that support global financial markets.
Working from our Madrid office, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams across Product, Data Science, Engineering, and Project Management to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements. You will contribute to the design and delivery of innovative data products, supporting both commercial objectives and regulatory requirements.
This role offers the opportunity to work on globally visible initiatives, gain exposure to complex market data environments, and contribute to the continued growth of Parameta’s Data & Analytics capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Gather, analyse, and translate business requirements into clear user stories and functional specifications
Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to design and deliver data-driven solutions
Analyse data flows, processes, and systems to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
Support the creation of process models and data flow diagrams to enhance understanding and solution design
Ensure traceability of requirements from initial concept through to delivery in Agile environments
Contribute to testing activities, validating data integrity and functional outcomes
Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to refine requirements and align on priorities
Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies clearly to project teams and business stakeholders
Collaborate across teams to resolve cross-functional challenges and ensure successful delivery
Experience & Competencies
Essential
Proven experience as a Business Analyst in data-centric, digital, or technology-driven environments.
Financial services experience required
Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional stakeholders across business and technology teams
Ability to translate complex requirements into structured documentation (user stories, functional specs)
Proven analytical mindset with experience working across data flows and systems
Experience working in Agile environments
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities
Desired
Experience in capital markets, or market data environments
Exposure to regulatory frameworks (e.g. MiFID, MAR, FRTB)
Experience with SQL, Excel, or data analysis tools
Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, or similar collaboration tools
Exposure to data structures, messaging, or APIs (e.g. JSON, FIX)
Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, Snowflake)
Knowledge of cross-asset markets (Rates, FX, Commodities, Credit)
Business Analysis certifications (e.g. AgileBA, CBAP)
