Electrical Engineer Intern
Location: Scotts Valley, CA
Position Summary
Digital Dynamics Inc. (DDI) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer Intern to join our engineering team. This role offers hands-on experience working alongside experienced engineers to support the design, development, and testing of high-performance electronic control systems.
The ideal candidate is currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering (or a related field), has a strong technical foundation, and is eager to apply classroom knowledge in a real-world, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design and development of electrical systems, circuits, and components
- Assist with testing, validation, and troubleshooting of electrical hardware and systems
- Collect, analyze, and interpret test data to support engineering decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineering
- Document design processes, test procedures, and results clearly and accurately
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in electrical engineering
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Strong academic performance (preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher)
- Familiarity with electrical engineering concepts, circuit design, and lab equipment
- Experience with relevant tools/software (e.g., MATLAB, LTspice, Altium, or similar) is a plus
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take initiative
