Job Description
Touchmark is seeking an experienced Temporary Accounts Payable Manager to provide immediate leadership and operational support for our Accounts Payable function. This temporary role is ideal for a hands-on AP leader who can quickly step into a high-volume environment, support day-to-day AP operations, coach and lead a team, and help strengthen processes, accountability, and service delivery.
In this role, you will manage a team of five direct reports and provide leadership across the full accounts payable function, including invoice processing, payment administration, vendor maintenance, corporate credit card activity, employee expense reimbursements, month-end close support, reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls. You will also serve as a key partner to Accounting, Operations, and community teams to resolve issues, improve workflows, and ensure timely and accurate processing.
The successful candidate will bring strong direct people management experience, including coaching, performance management, accountability, and team development. This role requires someone who can assess team performance, establish clear expectations, support KPI development, and help create structure around priorities, productivity, and service standards. We are looking for a leader who can balance hands-on AP support with the ability to guide a team through process improvement and change.
Pay Range: $90,000 – $104,000 annualized salary
What You’ll Do
Lead, coach, and support a team of five Accounts Payable professionals
Provide direct people management, including performance feedback, accountability, coaching, and team development
Oversee day-to-day AP operations, including invoice review, approvals, coding, payment processing, vendor maintenance, and issue resolution
Support employee expense reporting processes, with a strong preference for experience using Concur
Help develop and track AP performance metrics and KPIs to improve visibility, productivity, accuracy, and service delivery
Partner with leadership to identify process gaps, improve workflows, and support change management initiatives
Ensure AP processes are accurate, timely, and aligned with company policies, internal controls, and compliance expectations
Support month-end close, reconciliations, reporting, vendor statement reviews, and discrepancy resolution
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and community teams to provide training, guidance, and customer service
Assist with systems-related AP support, troubleshooting, testing, and process improvements
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of five years of full-cycle accounts payable experience
Prior experience directly managing an Accounts Payable, Accounting, Finance, or shared services team
Demonstrated experience coaching employees, holding team members accountable, and addressing performance concerns
Experience developing or managing KPIs, service standards, productivity metrics, or process improvement goals
Experience with Concur and employee expense reimbursement processes strongly preferred
Experience in an AP automation, paperless, or procurement system environment preferred
Strong understanding of internal controls related to accounts payable
Ability to quickly assess priorities, manage deadlines, and bring structure to a high-volume AP environment
Strong communication, follow-through, and relationship-building skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
