Responsibilities:
Driving the supplier strategy for the commodity group 'metal components', with a primary regional focus on Europe, China, and Asia
Operational responsibility for the commodity group 'metal components' at the Reichelsheim site, including partner production facilities and incubator teams
Conducting price and contract negotiations up to the conclusion of framework agreements for the entire business unit, as well as reviewing documents for compliance with our quality and safety standards
Analysis of procurement markets and design of supplier management strategies
Operational purchasing activities ranging from request for quotation (RFQ) processing, supplier selection, project management, scheduling, and system maintenance through to invoice verification
Support in supplier evaluation for the 'direct materials', as well as participation in supplier development initiatives
Handling complaints and delivery disruptions and initiating corrective actions
Support in supplier qualification and auditing activities
Qualifications:
Completed degree in engineering or business administration, or a comparable qualification based on vocational training
Several years of relevant professional experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment
Confident use of ERP systems, ideally SAP, as well as MS Office applications
Strong communication skills across different cultures and hierarchical levels to promote effective collaboration with all internal and external partners
Good technical understanding
High level of commitment, initiative, reliability, and flexibility to continuously improve existing processes
Very good command of both German and English, written and spoken
Analytical and goal-oriented thinking and approach
