Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Driving the supplier strategy for the commodity group 'metal components', with a primary regional focus on Europe, China, and Asia

  • Operational responsibility for the commodity group 'metal components' at the Reichelsheim site, including partner production facilities and incubator teams

  • Conducting price and contract negotiations up to the conclusion of framework agreements for the entire business unit, as well as reviewing documents for compliance with our quality and safety standards

  • Analysis of procurement markets and design of supplier management strategies

  • Operational purchasing activities ranging from request for quotation (RFQ) processing, supplier selection, project management, scheduling, and system maintenance through to invoice verification

  • Support in supplier evaluation for the 'direct materials', as well as participation in supplier development initiatives

  • Handling complaints and delivery disruptions and initiating corrective actions

  • Support in supplier qualification and auditing activities

Qualifications:

  • Completed degree in engineering or business administration, or a comparable qualification based on vocational training

  • Several years of relevant professional experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment

  • Confident use of ERP systems, ideally SAP, as well as MS Office applications

  • Strong communication skills across different cultures and hierarchical levels to promote effective collaboration with all internal and external partners

  • Good technical understanding

  • High level of commitment, initiative, reliability, and flexibility to continuously improve existing processes

  • Very good command of both German and English, written and spoken

  • Analytical and goal-oriented thinking and approach
