The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $37.00 to $61.74 per hour. (Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements).

Wood Cancer Center - Oncology and Hematology office in Malta provides advanced diagnostic, treatment, and cancer management care, as a service of the C.R. Wood Cancer Center at Glens Falls Hospital. Our highly skilled, compassionate oncology and hematology team focuses on preventing and treating cancers and blood disorders, such as carcinoma, sarcoma, melanoma, lymphoma, and leukemia. The team also works closely with our surgeons, radiation oncologists, and other cancer specialists to coordinate all aspects of patient care.
Team Impact
In this position, you will be an important member of the patient care team. The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for management and delivery of patient care to assigned patients in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and within the scope of practice delineated in the New York State Nurse Practice Act. Provides direct patient care, delegates/assigns responsibility as appropriate to others, and serves as leader of the interdisciplinary team in collaboration with and under the direction of the attending physician.

Qualifications
Education/Accredited Programs
- Graduation from a Registered Professional Nursing Program.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred; new hires will be required to complete their BSN within 5 years of hire (RNs with 20+ years of experience may be eligible to opt for certification completion rather than BSN).
Experience/Abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Maintains competency in professional nursing practices
- Knowledge of standard health care reporting measures required
- Ability to recognize patient care problems and to react appropriately in patient care emergencies
