How You Will Fulfill Your Potential (Responsibilities)
- Diagnostic Imaging: Perform high-quality Transthoracic (TTE) examinations according to established cardiac protocols, adapting techniques using professional judgment and ingenuity.
- Advanced Case Support: Assist cardiologists with Stress Echocardiograms and Transesophageal (TEE) examinations, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Preliminary Reporting: Analyze cardiac structural measurements and blood flow dynamics, presenting comprehensive technical findings and digital image datasets to cardiologists.
- Patient-Centered Care: Provide empathetic patient education, address physical or age-specific needs, and ensure a safe, exceptional customer service experience.
- Operational Excellence: Complete essential quality assurance logging, troubleshoot equipment variations, clean/sanitize ultrasound probes, and maintain clean, fully stocked exam rooms.
What You Bring (Qualifications)
- Education: Successful completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program specializing in Echocardiography.
- Credentials:
- Active RDCS (through ARDMS) OR RCS (through CCI) credential.
- OR Registry-Eligible New Graduates: Must obtain your registry certification within 12 months of your hire date.
- Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS / CPR) certification required.
- Core Capabilities: Deep understanding of cardiac anatomy and pathology, seamless interdisciplinary communication skills, computer literacy, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical setting.
