The job of an academic is challenging but meaningful. Not only will s/he have both the knowledge and working experience, s/he must also possess a passion for working with youths and adult learners. There will be opportunities to develop curriculum, introduce new courses as well as be involved in consultancy and applied industry/research projects. Administrative work related to teaching and School/Institutional strategic initiatives will also be an important part of the job. The successful candidates will be expected to be resourceful and innovative with initiative and good communication skills.

[What you will be working on]

The appointee must be competent to teach at diploma and higher levels in any one of the following areas:

• Artificial Intelligence (AI), including AI applications, agent-based systems and workflow automation
• Computer Vision (CV)
• Data Science (DS)
• Natural Language Processing (NLP) and its applications in generative AI and agentic AI

In addition, the appointee should also be able to teach in any one of the following areas:

• Statistics
• Programming
• Mathematics

The appointee will also be required to teach at least one of the following broad-based, foundational modules under the common core curriculum to enable our students to have the necessary emerging digital skills and human skills.

• Data Fluency
• Artificial Intelligence and Its Impact
• Persuasive Communication with Data Storytelling
• Problem Solving with Creative and Computational Thinking

Responsibilities:-

• Conduct lessons and mentoring of students
• Conduct training for adult learners and support continuing education initiatives
• Develop curriculum and learning materials for modules stated above
• Deploy effective pedagogy to facilitate learning
• Contribute to consultancy and applied industry/research projects, including AI applications and workflow automation for real-world use cases

[What we are looking for]

• Passionate about education and possess good values
• Team player with the ability to work independently
• Possess good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Tertiary education in the field of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics
• Able to translate AI concepts into practical business solutions and real-world applications
• Keen to stay current with emerging AI technologies and apply them in both teaching and industry projects
• Experience in cloud computing or software engineering, particularly in the deployment of AI/DS models into production is preferred though not mandatory

Successful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
