About the role
As a Procurement Specialist within Nexperia’s Global Procurement organisation, you will lead the Equipment Parts & Services (EPS) category for our Hamburg and Manchester manufacturing sites. This is a high‑impact role managing a diverse, global supplier base, ranging from daily‑touch strategic partners to niche suppliers engaged once every few years.
You will directly own and manage relationships around 100 key suppliers at an average annual spend of around $40m. You will also act as a primary commercial interface for up to 500 suppliers across all equipment parts and services for both manufacturing sites. The work is varied, fast‑paced, and strategically significant no two weeks look the same.
This role offers a great chance to develop your Procurement skillset within a fast paced, high tech global company with occasional international travel for collaboration purposes.
Key Responsibilities include
- Sourcing Strategy Leadership - Drive and lead sourcing strategies that deliver competitive cost structures and long‑term value for EPS categories
- Stakeholder Collaboration - Shape requirements with engineering, operations, and site teams, providing commercial insight and value‑creation opportunities
- Market & Spend Analysis - Conduct market research, analyse spend categories, and apply insights to negotiation and sourcing strategies
- Global Negotiation Leadership - Lead complex commercial negotiations with cross‑functional, international teams; develop negotiation plans for high‑value global projects
- Supplier Performance Management - Manage supplier performance across quality, cost, delivery, technology, and service to maintain a best‑in‑class supply base
- Contract Ownership - Draft, negotiate, and manage supplier contracts to secure optimal terms and mitigate commercial risk
- Project Delivery - Lead global sourcing projects, including scope creation, negotiation planning, and delivery of measurable results
- Operational Excellence- Drive adoption of procurement tools, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives across EPS activities
This is you
Essential requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree level education or equivalent experience
- 3+ of procurement experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Experience of participation or leading cross site commodity and international procurement projects
- Strong Negotiation and Analytical Skills
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- Team player and a hands-on worker
- Ability to prioritize and work on multiple activities at one time
- Ability to work independently and with autonomy
- SAP, Ariba, MS Excel, PowerPoint presentation and data analytical skills
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills on an international level
Desirable experience:
- 5+ of procurement experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- MCIPS Qualification (or equivalent) or substantively working towards this
- Experience in working within a Semiconductor manufacturing environment
- German speaking ability
