GENERAL OVERVIEW: The Janitorial Technician is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of office buildings and operations control rooms. This role is primarily a second-shift position and requires a self-motivated individual capable of working efficiently with minimal supervision.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cleaning & Sanitation:
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in designated areas.
- Perform carpet cleaning as scheduled.
- Dust furniture, equipment, and surfaces.
- Empty trash and recycling containers.
- Utilize dishwasher and maintain cleanliness in break room and common areas.
- Facility Cleanliness & Organization:
- Perform general clean-up tasks for office buildings and operations control rooms.
- Clean assigned areas on a rotating scheduled basis.
- Maintain janitorial equipment and supplies in good working order.
- Work with Storeroom employees to maintain a sufficient stock of all cleaning materials and paper goods.
- Work Schedule & Independence:
- Primarily work second shift with occasional day-shift overtime required for special cleaning projects.
- Work efficiently in a small team with minimal direct supervision.
- Follow all safety guidelines and cleaning procedures as directed.
BASIC MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- GED or High School Diploma.
- 1+ years of cleaning experience in an office and industrial setting preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge, familiarity with CMMS software a plus but not required.
- Must have the ability to complete required safety classes.
- Ability to pass preemployment and random drug screens.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
