Job Description

As an Assistant Broker Advocate, you’ll support our broker partners while helping manage the team’s daily workload. You’ll handle incoming enquiries across phone and online channels, prioritising and allocating work to keep things running smoothly.

You’ll also provide clear, timely support to help brokers resolve questions, navigate processes, and deliver a seamless experience.

This is a full-time, 12-month max-term contract based in any IAG office across Australia, with a hybrid working arrangement (up to two days working from home each week).

You’ll join IAG with extra support through our Early Career Pathways to help you build skills, connect with other early career employees, and plan what comes next. Through structured learning, personalised development and real hands-on experience, we’ll help set you up for success whether you’re‑ a high school leaver or have limited to no prior experience.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver responsive, professional support across broker enquiries while effectively triaging incoming requests to assess priority, allocate work, and maintain an efficient flow of daily volume across the team
  • Build a strong understanding of broker needs to enhance their experience and ensure enquiries are resolved seamlessly end to end
  • Maintain clear, timely communication with brokers and internal stakeholders to keep work progressing and expectations aligned
  • Identify and escalate complex or high-impact matters appropriately to ensure timely resolution
  • Partner closely with underwriting, claims, and operations to coordinate responses and progress requests efficiently
