About the Position:
The Account Manager will be responsible for managing and nurturing client relationships, with a primary focus on identifying and driving expansion selling and cross-selling opportunities. This includes proactively identifying additional needs within existing accounts, offering tailored solutions, and maximizing the value of our software products for each client. This role requires not only ensuring successful implementation and use of our solutions but also continuously seeking opportunities for growth within current accounts. A deep understanding of the oil and gas industry is essential, as is the ability to effectively communicate how our software solutions can deliver ongoing value, foster long-term partnerships, and contribute to clients’ success. This position will require up to 50% travel to engage with clients, attend meetings, and explore new business opportunities in key markets.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration or similar coursework OR
  • equivalent combination of experience and education AND
  • Experience in SaaS sales AND
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas or Transportation Industries
     
Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships through regular communication, site visits, and feedback sessions to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Product Knowledge: Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of our software solutions, effectively communicating their benefits and capabilities to clients in the oil and gas sector.
  • Account Growth: Identify opportunities for account expansion by understanding clients' evolving needs and suggesting relevant software enhancements or new products.
  • Customer Success: Oversee the onboarding process, ensure smooth implementation, and work closely with clients to resolve any issues, helping them derive maximum value from the software.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with technical support, and product teams to ensure that clients’ needs are met, and their expectations are exceeded.
  • Contract Renewal & Upsell: Manage contract renewals, negotiate terms, and identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities based on client needs and business objectives.
  • Client Training & Support: Facilitate client training on product features and functionalities, ensuring clients are fully equipped to leverage the software’s capabilities.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of client interactions, feedback, and account details. Prepare and present regular reports to management on account status, opportunities, and challenges.
 
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in account management, client relationship management, or a similar role, preferably in the oil and gas or software industries and proficiency with CRM systems (Hubspot, Salesforce, etc.).
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the oil and gas industry, including key processes, challenges, and technologies.
  • Technical Acumen: Ability to quickly learn and effectively communicate technical software solutions to non-technical clients.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage clients at all levels.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a customer-centric approach to resolving issues.
  • Project Management: Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
Optional but extremely desired skills:
  • Experience working with software solutions tailored to the oil and gas industry (ERP, data analytics, asset management systems, etc.).
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Some travel may be required for on-site client visits & training.

Salary is commensurate with experience and paid via direct deposit. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith and may be adjusted based on qualifications, experience, training, work history, and geographic location.
