Backed by a fifth-generation family-owned company, Spicers is a leading distributor of commercial print and business papers, specialty products, graphic solutions, sign & display equipment and materials, and packaging and facility supplies and equipment.
We’re based in Vaughan, Ontario, with 13 regional locations that include custom manufacturing facilities in Edmonton, Toronto and Winnipeg, as well as cash and carry locations, product showrooms and equipment demo sites.
We are currently looking for a full-time Account Manager, Packaging located in Montreal, reporting to the Sales Manager, Packaging & Facility Solution, Eastern Region.
Your Challenge:
Under the supervision of the Sales Manager, Packaging & Facility Solution, Eastern Region, the duties and responsibilities of the Account Manager, Packaging include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Achieve or exceed revenue and gross margin targets set during planning sessions;
- Expand the current customer base while developing new customers and new market segments;
- Inform customers about current and new products/trends, promotions, and other relevant information;
- Systematically collect and record information on current and potential customers in order to improve performance indicators and market share growth;
- Evaluate accounts and products to ensure maximum commercial potential;
- Inform management of any relevant developments concerning our markets, products, services, staff, and recommendations, as well as those of our competitors, if necessary;
- Develop sales forecasts and product pricing for the relevant geographic market;
- Keep abreast of developments in sales, marketing, paper products, industry, etc.; and
- Other assigned duties.
Your Qualifications:
- Higher education degree or diploma in a related field;
- At least 3 years of experience in the sector;
- Solid knowledge of industrial packaging products;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment;
- Strong creative abilities;
- Strong organizational and time management skills;
- Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy;
- Excellent team player and ability to work independently;
- Self-motivated and driven; and
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Working Conditions
- Able to work on a computer for numerous hours which may result in strain on wrists, eyes, back, etc.;
- Ability to work in a busy, open area office;
- May have to spend long hours in concentration which requires attention to detail and high levels of accuracy;
- This position faces a number of deadlines which may cause stress; and
- Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
