What your role will be?

  • Ensure the HGBU Manufacturing Department achieves budgeted targets and quality standards by providing positive leadership and direction to subordinate staff and ensuring agreed plans and programs are carried out. Monitor performance and take corrective action as necessary to ensure quality standards are adhered to, wastage is minimal, and targets met on a timely and cost-effective basis 

  • Take positive steps to ensure that only safe working practices are allowed, and safe conditions and necessary safety equipment are provided and used correctly by employees in the plant generally. Ensure all laid down safety procedures are adhered to and every action is taken which will minimize or eliminate wherever possible the risk of accident or injury to employees.

  • Ensure the highest standards of housekeeping is maintained and that all equipment is cleaned, used, and maintained to the highest working standards. All environmental controls are in place and working to meet laid down environmental standards. Ensure all personal hygiene and clothing requirements are adhered to by people working in or entering the manufacturing area.

  • Ensure the Associate Director / Snr. Manufacturing Manager are aware of developments, problems and potential problems which will impact on the business. Assist them in developing programs and plans for the Department. Ensure all other relevant Managers are aware of these.

  • Implement approved Employee relation practices, programs and procedures which will engender harmonious relationships and minimize the risk of third-party intervention and / or industrial disputation or inefficiencies caused by absenteeism and labor turnover. Take corrective action where necessary in accordance with SOPs to ensure these are achieved.

  • Ensure the Department is adequately staffed with personnel who are trained, developed, motivated, and competent and have the opportunity and direction to achieve their maximum potential. Ensure your subordinate staff know and understand their duties and responsibilities and are provided with the necessary means and support and direction to carry them out.

  • Ensure all reports, records and statistical information are accurate and are prepared and submitted on a timely basis as per laid down procedures and directives. Ensure all documentation and recording takes place to satisfy legal, regulatory and GMP needs.

  •  Appraise and analyze performance of people, materials, equipment, layouts, and systems. Make recommendations on improvements to the way the activity is conducted to the Associate Director / Snr. Manufacturing Manager with positive input from subordinates 

  • Ensure all equipment, machines and processes are properly validated to assure capability and stability of the operation.

  • Ensure all activities conducted personally and by subordinates comply with all Sri Lankan legal requirements and the highest ethical and Company standard.

  • Investigate customer complaints and educate all personnel concern about the findings to improve vigilance and performance of all people. Report on findings of the analysis to be submitted to Associate Director, Snr. Manufacturing Manager and relevant department manager.

  • Development of Data Bases to capture all relevant Manufacturing Process information using PRMS, SPC or any other equivalent Data Base system.

  • Monitor, record and conduct Statistical Analysis of Data Captured and give support and guidance for the Mission Critical Improvement Projects.

  • Ensure the security of Organization’s sensitive data and protect them.

  • Responsible to conduct IQAs on Company Quality System and EHS Audits

  • Ensure day-to-day operation of the manufacturing area and contribute to the application of effective Ansell Production System (APS), smooth run ability of machines to achieve target and support IWS philosophy.

  • Ensure calculated plant performance and achievement of production targets, KPIs against with the stated capacity targets.

  • Support execution of personal systems to grow capability of staff subordinates.

  • Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Associate Director or any other person acting on his behalf.

  • Education:- BSc degree in relevant field, MBA is added advantage

     

  • Job Experience: 2-3 years in manufacturing environment
