Job Description
Objective of Job
- Design mule car of electrical and electronic architecture (ADAS + Infotainment) for development
- Integrate and configure the MBOS(ADAS + Infotainment) system into various testing vehicles
- Ensure all the testing vehicles reach testing ready status according to different testing requirement
- Further develop the tools and methods for MB.OS system integration
- System problem analysis and technical decision-making
Task Description
1. Define concept & build-up of testing vehicle including mule car with MB.OS system:
- Define vehicle concept to integrate in-house developed or 3rd party AD & TI system incl. HW & SW
- Integrate AD & TI system into MB vehicles considering power supply, cooling, packaging & operational safety
- Set up EE communication between AD & TI system and vehicle
- Work together with external tech companies & internal RD workshop
2. Preparation of AD & TI system in different vehicle models and system:
- Plan and conduct the system integration and configuration
- Ensure all testing car shall reach testing ready status
- Support external engineer to ensure the task timeline and quality
- Interface to MB workshop
- Technical support of testing vehicle preparation
3. Overall vehicle EE system integration and know how build up:
- Build up overall vehicle EE system integration know how in company
- Train service provider regarding system integration
- Support POC project regarding EE system integration
4. Further develop the tools and methods for MB.OS system integration:
- Design, develop and optimize suitable measurement tools into testing vehicle to support MB.OS development
- Design and develop other system integration tools to support system integration activities.
5. EE System problem analysis and technical decision-making:
- Participate in vehicle-level EE problem analysis, including communication anomalies, power supply issues, system conflicts, performance bottlenecks, etc.
- Provide architecture-level judgments and recommendations for key technical decisions related to autonomous driving and intelligent cockpits.
- Supports vehicle integration, EE upgrades, system bring-up, and system-level validation phases.
Qualification
Education:
- Bachelor degree or above in vehicle engineering, electrical engineering, robotics, computer science, or a related area
Experience:
- 5-8 years of experience in vehicle EEA, ADAS, Telematics, CarIT related area.
- Solid foundation of automotive electrical and electronic architecture, understanding ECU, domain control, sensors and central computing architecture
- Intensive knowledge of ADAS and telematics systems architecture
- Practical experience in overall vehicle EE system integration.
- Familiar with in-vehicle communication protocols: CAN / CAN FD / LIN / FlexRay / Automotive Ethernet, etc.
- Basic knowledge of project management and MS office skill.
- Veteran in Driving. Internal driver license in OEM is welcome.
- Chinese native speaker with fluent English language skills, German language beneficial.
- Excellent communication and team working skills as a part of a global team in a multi-cultural environment.
- Knowledge in vehicle perception and control systems incl. powertrain, ESP and steering systems.
- Excellent hands-on engineering mindset to solve issues with necessary pragmatism and creativity.
- Independent and proactive working style, willingness to travel inside China and abroad to conduct system testing.
