We're looking for someone to join our team as a Environment of Care Supervisor who:

The Environment of Care (EOC) Supervisor supports, coordinates, monitors, and escalates Environment of Care, Life Safety, emergency management, and facility safety activities across Clinica Sierra Vista sites. This position helps ensure that health centers, administrative locations, mobile units, and assigned facilities are maintained in a safe, compliant, functional, and survey-ready condition. The EOC Supervisor works under the direction of the General Services Manager and in coordination with the Director of General Services, Facilities leadership, site leadership, clinical operations, Emergency Management, Quality, Safety, Security, vendors, contractors, and other department partners. The role supports EOC readiness through routine rounds, documentation management, corrective action tracking, inspection follow-up, safety education support, vendor coordination, and timely escalation of unresolved risks.


Essential Functions:


1. Supports Environment of Care, Life Safety, emergency management, and facility safety programs across assigned Clinica Sierra Vista sites.

2. Conducts or coordinates routine Environment of Care rounds, facility safety inspections, Life Safety reviews, and site readiness assessments.

3. Supports documentation and readiness activities related to Safety and Security Management, Hazardous Materials/Waste Management, Fire Safety Management, Medical Equipment Management, Utility Management, and Emergency Management.

4. Identifies, documents, tracks, and escalates facility-related safety risks, Life Safety deficiencies, Environment of Care concerns, corrective actions, and recurring site issues.

5. Maintains organized documentation for Environment of Care, Life Safety, emergency management, facility inspections, safety rounds, corrective actions, drills, vendor reports, deficiency logs, and regulatory readiness activities.

6. Maintains or supports master files for Safety Data Sheets, fire extinguisher inventories, life-safety inspections, vendor reports, emergency management documentation, and corrective action records as assigned.

7. Supports Joint Commission readiness by ensuring that required facility-related documentation is organized, current, accessible, and reviewed for completeness.

8. Conducts EOC and Life Safety rounds to identify blocked egress, storage concerns, fire/life safety concerns, trip hazards, signage issues, emergency supply gaps, utility concerns, and other facility safety risks.

9. Tracks deficiencies, corrective actions, vendor follow-up, work order status, and documentation gaps related to EOC, Life Safety, emergency management, and facility safety.

10. Coordinates with Facilities Technicians, Facilities leadership, site leadership, vendors, contractors, Security, IT, Emergency Management, Quality, Nursing, and other departments to resolve EOC and Life Safety concerns.

11. Supports monitoring and documentation of life-safety systems, including fire alarm systems, fire sprinklers, fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, exit signs, generators, backflows, elevators, egress pathways, panic hardware, alarms, access systems, and other facility safety systems.

12. Coordinates vendor inspections, service visits, documentation follow-up, deficiency reports, and corrective action updates for EOC and Life Safety-related systems.

13. Reviews of vendor documentation, inspection reports, service records, and deficiency findings for completeness and routes issues to the General Services Manager, Director of General Services, or appropriate department partners.

14. Supports emergency preparedness activities, including drill documentation, evacuation map updates, emergency supply tracking, site readiness reviews, and coordination with Emergency Management partners.

 

Other Responsibilities:

  • On a scheduled basis may be required to work at any satellite facility.
  • May be required to support site inspections, emergency drills, vendor visits, regulatory readiness activities, mock surveys, or urgent facility safety concerns across assigned regions.
  • May assist with after-hours coordination for urgent EOC, Life Safety, emergency management, or facility safety issues as directed by leadership
  • Reasonable and predictable in person attendance. 
  • Perform introductory and annual employee reviews, competency forms, and provide constructive feedback on their performance to help meet organizational and professional goals. 


You'll be successful with the following qualifications:

  • Associate degree or bachelor’s-level coursework in Healthcare Administration, Facilities Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, Emergency Management, Occupational Safety, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education

  • Three or more years of experience in healthcare facilities, Environment of Care, Life Safety, emergency management, facility safety, compliance coordination, facilities operations, or related field preferred.

  • Experience coordinating vendors, inspections, service documentation, safety rounds, audits, drills, corrective action tracking, or regulatory readiness activities preferred.

  • Possession of a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of California required.

  • Certified Healthcare Safety Professional, Certified Healthcare Environmental Professional, Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional, OSHA safety training, or equivalent safety/EOC certification preferred.

  • Must complete required EOC, Life Safety, emergency management, workplace violence prevention, and safety-related trainings as assigned

  • Must be able to work a full-time schedule.

  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment screening (background check, drug tests, and references).

  • Must be able to comply with organizational behavioral standards.
