Job Description
Working Location: Kai Tak, Kowloon
Employment Duration: 2-year Contract
CLP Digital enables the organization transformation toward a reliable, affordable, and low-carbon energy future. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full power system value chain—generation, grid, energy markets (cross boarder HK and mainland), and customers—while developing deep expertise in enterprise architecture within a critical infrastructure environment.
The role drives Integrated System Planning & Orchestration capability by ensuring business requirements across generation assets, grid operations, energy storage, and demand-side management are translated into coherent, secure, and scalable digital architectures.
Working closely with business stakeholders, delivery teams, and vendor partners, the role ensures alignment between business strategy, and CLP’s digital platforms.
Responsibilities
Architecture Definition & Alignment
- Define and maintain current, target, and transition architectures in alignment with CLP Digital standards and roadmaps
- Ensure architectural synergies across generation planning, grid operations, system planning, and demand-side systems
- Effectively articulate technology options, constraints, and trade‑offs in business terms, translating architectural decisions into commercial value drivers, including cost optimisation, risk reduction and capital efficiency
- Support business leaders in digital system roadmap definition and investment prioritisation, providing clear rationale on expected financial returns, system benefits, and long‑term value to inform executive decision‑making
Integrated System Planning Enablement
- Contribute to digital architecture designs that support Integrated System Planning use cases, including scenario-based generation planning, system optimization, and flexibility analysis
- Support architecture decisions related to economic dispatch, capacity planning, and grid optimization solutions
