L'opportunité
Relevant directement de l'Analyste au contrôle des inventaires, le Cariste au contrôle des inventaires soutient les opérations de l'entrepôt de Ville Saint-Laurent en assurant une gestion précise des inventaires ainsi qu'un déplacement efficace des marchandises à l'intérieur de l'installation. Ce rôle est responsable d'effectuer les comptes cycliques quotidiens à l'aide d'un chariot élévateur de type reach, de maintenir l'exactitude des inventaires et d'assurer le bon positionnement et l'entreposage des palettes dans l'ensemble de l'entrepôt.
Le poste requiert un grand souci du détail, une conduite sécuritaire des équipements ainsi que la capacité de collaborer efficacement avec les équipes du contrôle des inventaires et des opérations. Le candidat idéal est fiable, organisé et capable de travailler efficacement dans un environnement rapide et réfrigéré, tout en maintenant des standards élevés en matière de sécurité et de qualité.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Inventory Control Analyst, the Forklift Operator / Inventory (Fisher) supports warehouse operations by ensuring accurate inventory management and efficient movement of materials within the facility. This role is responsible for conducting daily cycle counts using a reach forklift, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring proper pallet placement and storage throughout the warehouse.
The position requires strong attention to detail, safe equipment operation, and the ability to work collaboratively with the Inventory Control and Operations teams. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, cold storage environment while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Montreal, Quebec, Canada | Onsite 5 days a week
What You'll Do
- Conduct daily cycle counting using a reach forklift
- Report daily cycle count findings to the on-site Inventory Control Analyst
- Ensure pallets are properly racked in the warehouse
- Occasionally, provide operational support as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Perform daily forklift inspections before use
- Contribute to improving inventory accuracy in the warehouse
- Participate in warehouse projects related to inventory
What You Bring
- High School Diploma (SSD)
- Minimum two (2) years of experience as a forklift operator, ideally in the food storage industry
- Ability to operate an RF scanner is a must
- Experience with counterbalance and double-reach forklifts
- Basic understanding of inventory processes
- Ability to work in a bilingual environment (basic French and fluent in English required)
- Willingness to work in a cold environment (-18°C)
- Strong organizational, reliability, and responsibility skills
- Customer-focused mindset while maintaining performance results
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt
- Consistent and dependable work performance
Working Conditions
- This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Fisher Plant in Montreal, Quebec facility.
- The work schedule is from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Work is performed in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with regular exposure to cold temperatures, loud machinery, and strict food safety protocols. The role requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting
