Hotel Maintenance Technician
Location: Holiday Inn Conference Center
Mishawaka, IN 46545
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the hotel’s facilities, ensuring all equipment and systems operate efficiently, and providing a safe and comfortable environment for our guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry systems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize downtime and guest inconvenience.
- Inspect hotel facilities regularly to identify potential issues and perform preventive maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to coordinate maintenance work and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hotel policies.
- Assist with setup and breakdown of event spaces as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in maintenance or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
Work Environment
- This position involves working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. The Hotel Maintenance Technician will be required to use hand and power tools and follow safety protocols at all times.
