The Opportunity

Our client provides comprehensive fund servicing solutions for both open-end and closed-end alternative investment funds, including hedge funds and private capital strategies. The firm offers a broad suite of services that can be delivered individually or as integrated solutions through a network of strategic partners.

The organization is seeking a Director of Business Development to drive new client acquisition, expand market presence, and support continued growth within its alternative fund solutions business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to acquire new clients and increase revenue across fund administration and related service offerings.

  • Build, manage, and advance a pipeline of new business opportunities, including emerging fund launches and competitive replacement opportunities.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to prospective and existing clients, delivering tailored solutions and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.

  • Enhance the firm's market presence and reputation throughout the region.

  • Leverage and expand relationships with investment managers, fund sponsors, trustees, legal counsel, auditors, and other industry influencers.

  • Lead the full sales cycle, including prospect identification, meetings, presentations, proposal development, and deal management.

  • Partner with colleagues across business lines and geographic regions to achieve strategic objectives.

  • Develop a strong understanding of the firm's products, services, and value proposition.

  • Identify and execute cross-selling opportunities across service lines and client relationships.

  • Work closely with marketing, operations, legal, onboarding, and other internal teams to support business development efforts.

  • Provide market intelligence and contribute to strategic initiatives, including product development and service enhancements.

  • Monitor industry trends and identify new business opportunities.

  • Maintain compliance with internal reporting processes, CRM requirements, and other business procedures.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in financial services, banking, fund administration, private equity, hedge funds, or prime brokerage.

  • Established network within the alternative investment industry, including fund managers, sponsors, trustees, law firms, and other key market participants.

  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior executives and complex organizations.

  • Deep knowledge of financial markets, alternative investments, and asset management.

  • Proven success in business development, sales, and relationship management.

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to sell complex solutions and navigate client objections effectively.

  • Consistent track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.

  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • High energy, strong self-motivation, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
