
CULTURAL PLAN FACILITATOR
Job Description
INTERNAL / EXTERNAL

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possess a degree in education, counseling, social work, psychology, or criminal justice with extensive work in school aged students in low income, urban areas.
- Exceptional social and team building skills.
- Have experience and willingness to facilitate groups.
- High credibility and trust by staff, parents, and students in the building.
- Must comply with Student Safety Initiative Legislation, as amended.
PERFORMANCE DUTIES AND RESPONSIILITIES (summary includes but is not limited to the following):
- Work alongside behavior interventionist with restorative practices in mind.
- Maintain a positive room environment for students who need to be counseled as to the way of the culture plan.
- Provide a safe and reflective environment for students who are out of alignment with culture plan and student handbook restoring their understanding of such.
- Help ensure that teachers and staff throughout the building are being supported in implementation of culture plan and each is doing their part.
- Assist in data collection related to culture plan and behavioral activities.
- Will actively implement the district's philosophy of education and instructional goals by guiding the learning process toward the achievement of approved curriculum goals.
- Will cooperate with other members of the staff in planning instructional goals, objectives and methods. This could include the selection of books, equipment, and other instructional material.
- Will regard personal information concerning the pupil or the pupil's family as confidential and will utilize such information only as in aid in helping the pupil to attain appropriate educational goals while maintaining all aspects of confidentiality and FERPA requirements.
- Will maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation. This includes diagnosing and assessing, on a regular basis, a student's accomplishments, along with parent contacts, reporting requirements, lesson plans, and other required documentation.
- Completes other duties as assigned by building administrator.
REQUIREMENTS:
Newly hired employees must satisfactorily pass:
- Reference checks
- Police clearance including digital fingerprinting.
ANNUAL SALARY:
$45,000 - $55,000 grant funding dependent. Exceptional fringe benefits available.
